“Nicholson’s scoring is one of the best in the world.”
The Seoul SK Knights won 76-74 against the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus in the 2023-2024 regular season of the Korean Basketball Association at 현금홀덤사이트 Daegu Gymnasium on Saturday.
Jamil Warney led the way with 33 points and 10 rebounds.
“It’s good to win,” said Jamil Warney. I think it’s important to get a valuable win away from home. We’ve been playing a lot of games on the road lately, but hopefully we can start winning without excuses,” Warney said after the win.
“I tried to play my best because we shouldn’t have lost back-to-back games. I didn’t do it alone, but my teammates helped me win,” he added.
Currently, the KBL has a lot of forward-type big men who can play inside or outside and are doing well. They are a bit different from Warney, who is a traditional big man. What does Warney think of them?
“As the league evolves, there are a lot of better players coming in. There are a lot of guys who can shoot from outside, a lot of guys who can drive in, and it’s always fun to matchup with them. We have a lot of inside scorers, so we have our own advantages.”
His opponent for the day, Andrew Nicholson, is also a forward big man. With Warney out of Game 1, we got to see their matchup for the first time today.
“(Andrew) Nicholson is so good, and I think he’s one of the best scorers in the world. He can score 30-40 points if he wants to,” Warney said. It’s fun to defend a player like that,” he laughed.
Jamil Warney is the self-proclaimed best foreign player in the KBL. Who is his favorite foreign player this season?
“There are a lot of good players, but DB’s (Dedrick) Lawson. He’s done a great job of integrating into the team and creating shots, passes, and offensive opportunities.
I haven’t played KCC’s Alize Johnson, but he’s a good player. I think KT Bass is also a good player.”
