By Yoon Jin-man, Sports Chosun]The South Korean national soccer team, which is going for a third consecutive Asian Games gold medal, has unveiled its squad numbers ahead of its highly anticipated first match.

The most talked-about ace, Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain), will wear the number 18.

The number 18 was an unfamiliar number for Lee as a young player. As a youth international, he wore the number 20 and 10. At the 2019 U-20 World Cup, he wore the number 10 and finished as runner-up.

He never really ‘settled’ at the club level. He wore the number 17, 16, 14, 10, 17, 16, 11, 10, and 7 during his time at Valencia Mestalla. After his first-team debut, he wore the number 34, 16 and 20, and with Mallorca he wore the number 19. He also wore the number 19 at Paris Saint-Germain, where he joined last summer.

Lee has consistently worn the number 18 for the national team. Lee wore the number 18 at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he helped South Korea reach the round of 16, and since then, he’s flourished under current head coach Jürgen Klinsmann.

If 19 has become Lee’s signature number at the club level, it’s 18 at the national level. Coincidentally, it was Hwang Sun-hong’s trademark during his time leading the Asian Games team. The former No. 18 and the current No. 18 join forces for gold.

Lee will join the national team on Nov. 21 after playing for his club team.

Wildcard captain Baek Seung-ho (Jeonbuk) will be traveling to Hangzhou wearing his team’s number 8. Park Jin-seop (Jeonbuk), Song Min-kyu (Jeonbuk), Park Jae-yong (Jeonbuk), Park Jae-yong (Jeonbuk), Uhm Won-sang (Ulsan), and Hwang Jae-won (Daegu) also received team numbers.

The ‘K League 2 follicle’ Cho Young-wook (Gimcheon) received the number 10, the ace symbol, while the ‘little’ Jung Woo-young (Stuttgart) received the number 7. Seol Young-woo (Ulsan) was honored with the number 19, Ahn Jae-joon (Bucheon) with the number 20, Hong Hyun-seok (Ghent) with the number 6, Jung Ho-yeon (Gwangju) with the number 15, Ko Young-joon (Pohang) with the number 13, Choi Jun (Busan) with the number 3, Lee Han-beom (Mitwylan) with the number 14, Lee Jae-ik (Eland) with the number 5, Park Kyu-hyun (Dresden) with the number 22, and Kim Tae-hyun (Sendai) with the number 16.

Goalkeeping trio Lee Kwang-yeon (Gangwon) wore the number 1, Min Sung-joon (Incheon) wore the number 12, and Kim Jung-hoon (Jeonbuk) wore the number 21.

Hwang Sun-hong, who arrived in Hangzhou on the 16th and is in the 카지노사이트 midst of a final warm-up, will play his first group match against Kuwait at Jinhua Stadium on the 19th. South Korea was placed in Group E with Kuwait, Thailand, and Bahrain.

“I don’t think the game will go our way,” Hwang said during a training session at Aiqing High School in Jinhua, China on the 18th, “but we still need to win. After 90 minutes, we will be the victorious team.”
