FC Seoul One Clubman Ko Yo-han will receive the K-League Achievement Award.
Ko made his K League debut with Seoul in 2004 and stayed with the club for 20 years. He scored 34 goals and provided 30 assists in 366 K League matches, the most of any player in the history of the organization.
During his time with Seoul, Go won six trophies, including three K League titles (2010, 2012, 2016), 안전놀이터 one FA Cup (now the Korea Cup) (2015), and two League Cups (2006, 2010).
He also led the team as captain for three consecutive seasons from 2018 to 2020, a first for the club. In recognition of his contributions, Seoul has decided to retire his number 13 shirt, the first time the club has done so.
During his time in the K League, Go made 21 appearances for the national team and helped raise the profile of South Korean soccer, winning the 2017 EAFF E-1 Championship and qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Since announcing his retirement from the game ahead of this season, Go has been coaching Osango, Seoul’s U-18 team, since this year. The KFA will recognize Ko for his dedication to the K League over the past 20 years with the Distinguished Service Award.
