‘Twenty-something’ Bae Joon-ho heads off to play for England

You may remember Bae Jun-ho from the U-20 World Cup quarterfinals.

Now, he’s traveled to England to finalize a deal to join Stoke City in the English second tier of professional soccer.

After leading South Korea to the quarterfinals with a brilliant individual performance, Bae showed promise that earned him the praise of Atletico Madrid manager Simeone.

Amid interest from European clubs, Bae chose to join English second division side Stoke City, where he was likely to be a regular starter.

He listened to the advice of defender Kim Ji-soo, a former Under-20 teammate who moved to Brentford.
