Lee Kyung-hoon and Kim Sung-hyun will need to finish at least runner-up to qualify for the PGA Tour playoffs, according to a new scenario.

Golf Channel, a U.S. golf media outlet, has come up with a scenario in which the duo can finish in the top 70 of the FedExCup standings at the Wyndham Championship, the final event of the PGA Tour’s regular season, which begins on Aug. 8 at Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina.

All but two of the players ranked 48th through 101st in the FedExCup standings are in the field at the Wyndham Championship.

Lee, ranked 99th in the FedExCup standings, would need help from other players or a tie for second place to advance to the first round of the playoffs, the St. Jude Championship, if he doesn’t win.

“I know I have to win or finish second in this tournament, and I practiced a lot last week,” said Lee. “I had some disappointments and difficulties this season, but it’s too early to give up.”

“This is a course where Korean players are very strong and have won a lot,” said Lee. I haven’t made the top 10 yet, but I’ve been in good form since the last tournament, so I’m looking forward to a good performance,” he added.

Kim Joo-hyung (2022), Kim Si-woo (2016) and Choi Kyung-ju (2005) have won this event.

Kim, ranked No. 110 in the FedExCup standings, needs a second-place finish to qualify for the playoffs on his own.

“Thirty-seven players outside the top 70 in this tournament have a chance to make the playoffs even if they don’t win, but they will all need help from other players (such as a poor showing by the top players),” Golf Channel analyzed. 파워볼사이트 추천
