South Korean midfielder Lee Kang-in earned rave reviews for his lightning-fast movement in a pre-season friendly, leading the team’s attack, while his French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) drew 0-0.
PSG drew 2-2 with Sturmgraz (Austria) in a pre-season friendly at the Wörthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt, Klagenfurt in the Austrian state of Kernten on Aug. 8 (KST).
It was PSG’s first pre-season match before the start of the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 season on July 17, and it was the club’s final tune-up.
PSG will face Leipzig (GER) again on the 11th.
Lee started on the right wing and played around 72 minutes before being replaced by Ayman Carri in the 27th minute of the second half.
Lee contributed to the team’s offense with his crisp passes that broke down the opposing defense.
Despite having two or three opposing defenders on him, he easily shook them off with his delicate ball touch and footwork, and exchanged short passes with his teammate to effectively attack the right flank.
Once he was free of the opponent’s pressure, he went straight to work on his offense with accurate forward passes.
Lee attempted 47 passes and successfully delivered the ball to his teammate 45 times. He dribbled twice and had an 83% success rate on long passes.
Sofascore gave Lee a 7.6 rating, the highest on the team, while Footmob gave him a 7.5 rating, the lowest on the team.
PSG took the lead in the ninth minute when Marco Asensio broke up a pass in the middle of the field and sprinted through on goal, and Ibrahim Mbaye received the ball in the penalty area on the left side of the box and rattled the opposite post with his left foot.
Carlos Soler’s second goal in the 12th minute was set up by Lee Kang-in.
After receiving the ball in right midfield, Lee played a low forward pass to Randall Kolo Mouani, who was making a run down the right flank, and the ball went like a clothesline through six opposing defenders to reach Mouani in one fell swoop.
Moani’s cutback was met by a charging Soler, who slotted home to give PSG a 2-0 lead.
Just three minutes later, the PSG defense conceded another goal when they lost the ball to Sturmgratz’s Ahmadi Kamara during a buildup in their own half.
In the 43rd minute, Otar Kiteishvili tied the score at 1-1 through a long-range strike.
Neither team could find the back of the net in the second half and the match ended in a draw. 바카라사이트
