KIA, Winner of Korean Series, Received 5.25 Billion Won in Dividend Income
The Tigers, who won their 12th Korean Series (KS) title, are now sitting on a pile of money.
The KIA Tigers won the regular season and the Korean Series on the 28th, securing the overall championship, and the size of this year’s postseason (PS) dividends has been confirmed.
According to the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) office, 16 games (2 wild card games, 5 semi-playoff games, 4 playoff games, 5 KS games) were held in PS this year, drawing 353,550 spectators.
KBO earned about 14.6 billion won in ticket revenue. 바카라사이트
This figure is a significant improvement over the previous record of 10.392226 billion won (15 games) in 2012.
According to Article 47 of the KBO League Regulations, the KBO office distributes the remaining amount of PS admission revenue after deducting the various expenses incurred in running the event from the event as dividends to the five teams that played PS.
First, the regular season’s first-place team takes 20% of the dividends, and the remaining amount is divided into 50% for the Korean Series winning team, 24% for the runner-up team, 14% for the team that lost the playoffs, 9% for the team that lost the wild card playoffs, and 3% for the team that lost the wild card playoffs.
The miscellaneous expenses are estimated to be 40%, and the remaining amount of 8.75 billion won is divided among the five teams.
KIA will first receive 1.75 billion won for winning the regular season, and then receive 3.5 billion won, half of the remaining 7 billion won, for winning the KS.
In total, KIA will receive 5.25 billion won.
Last year, LG Twins, which won the overall championship, received about 2.943 billion won.
KIA will receive 1.8 times more than that.
It doesn’t end here. KIA receives more bonuses from its parent company.
According to the bonus regulations of the KBO office and the 10 clubs, the parent company of the winning team can give up to 50% of the total dividends received by the baseball team as a winning bonus.
If the parent company gives a bonus up to the upper limit, KIA Tigers can add about 2.625 billion won to the PS dividend.
